Financial Matters

Budget Amendment (Item AM)

Transfer of $8 million from the General Fund to the Capital Improvement Projects Fund for ward capital projects. Increase CIP fund by $12.8 million from the OKC Economic Development Trust for ASA Hall of Fame Stadium improvements. Increase CIP fund by $1.5 million for asbestos abatement/carpet replacement at Cox Convention Center and repairs at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Add a $175,000 donation from Continental Resources for Bluff Creek Park pavilion to the Special Purpose Fund. Add $388,000 from the OKC Airport Trust for widening S Portland Avenue to the Special Purpose Fund. Total budget increase of $22.9 million.

Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP)

A program established in 2008 to address the foreclosure crisis, repurpose single-family homes, and develop workforce rental housing. Total funds allocated were $21 million, with significant leverage from private funds. The program has acquired 72 properties, sold 52, and supported multi-family affordable housing and a homeless shelter.
