Bond Sale for 2017 GO Bonds
Authorization for a $117 million bond sale from the 2017 General Obligation bond package, with 76% ($89 million) allocated to streets and bridges and $11 million to Parks and Recreation facilities. Bonds to be sold competitively on March 28th.
Code Enforcement Bill
A resident requested reimbursement for a $4,099.62 bill from the city for the removal of tree limbs from a property after a notice of violation.
Public Comments
Citizens voiced concerns regarding the lack of public notification for important council discussions, ongoing issues with housing authority properties including security and maintenance, and the environmental impact of biosol disposal on farmland. Other comments included issues with code enforcement billing, the proliferation of marijuana dispensaries, and youth engagement with law enforcement. One citizen also spoke about their church's community service and another about aspiring to be a firefighter.
