An ordinance establishing a special permit for spectator sports and entertainment high impact in the downtown business and parking overlay districts at 125 West Reno was approved, essential for the new arena's operation.

An ordinance closing the South Douglas Boulevard right-of-way between Southeast 134th and Southeast 149th was approved due to very low traffic counts.

The annual salary for Municipal Counselor Kenneth Jordan was set at $262,378, effective January 1, 2026, along with a $7,000 annual automobile expense allowance.

Sales and Use Tax Report

Sales tax is up 8.5%, but use tax is down 2.62%. Combined, the city is about $700,000 over budget, essentially on budget. Expected to finish the year at about 2% growth.

Affordable Housing Bond Allocation

Final allocation from the 2017 affordable housing bond authorization for the 'We Host Alliance' project, consisting of 38 affordable housing units at North Kentucky Avenue and Northwest 4th.
